At Cogwheel Clinic we believe that overall health and nutrition plays an important role in maintaining and enhancing a child’s cognitive and physical functioning.
Dr Glynn is a Naturopath that focuses solely on Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as Autism and ADHD, and can be you child's general practioner or specialist for nutrition, supplements, medicine or guidance on sleep interventions, food intolerance testing and Genetic testing. Dr Glynn's nutrition services are beneficial for any child, yet especially helpful for children diagnosed with Autism, PDD, ADD, and ADHD.
Since parents are valued as equal partners and are responsible for their child’s treatment, we emphasize family involvement. Our family interventions are conducted in a cooperative manner to co-develop a nutrition plan that is not only safe and effective for the child, but also manageable for the family. We believe the best diet is the diet that works for you and your family.
Although no diet or supplement will “cure” Autism, PDD, ADD, or ADHD, using foods, supplements, and nutraceuticals can be beneficial in helping your child find balance and a natural calm, and will maximize their brain function and enhance his/her responsiveness of other therapies.
The Cogwheel Clinic believes that Spectrum Disorders can often benefit from a “nutrition team” comprised of health care professionals such as (but not limited to) physicians, behavioral health specialists, occupational therapist, speech therapists, and nutritionists. Coghweel CLinic's Occuaptional Therapist Breanna Heinrich holds food groups for kiddos that have difficulty with textures and ntrying new foods.
Each family receives a uniquely tailored educational experience that may cover but not limited to the following topics:
